Default Stock/Aftermarket Exhaust Question.

I'm sure you guys are thinking that this thread is going to be just like every other exhaust thread on this forum, but it's not. Not that I have found atleast. Alright, my question is..I'm sure you guys know what the 05' CBR600RR exhaust looks like. Well, I LOVE that look. I love the heat shielding around it, I don't know why. I just think it looks badass. Well, is there any possible way to fit an aftermarket exhaust inside the stock heat shielding? I know this might sound stupid, but I like this look, I want more sound, and I want to be different, even if I have to fabricate something!

Thanks in advance.

Jeremy, thought I saw on here how someone cut their muffler in half and removed the baffling and then welded it back together..couldn't see the weld at all...looked completely stock but sounded bad ***...couldn't find it but sure I saw at one point

Micron has a exhaust that keeps all the shields I though about it the micron but you save a ton of weight taking all of that stuff off I went with a Akro

Nothing's going to fit or look as good as the stock exhaust. Most aftermarket cans sit crooked, so if you want something that looks like the stock exhaust then save the cash and stick with the stock exhaust...

The micron that Mr Bling is talking about ??? Does it sit crooked? It's always looked good in the pics. I'm not sure about cutting a ton of weight buy removing the heat shield though.... can't weigh that much.

My carbon fiber single port Micron fits perfectly and sounds great at idle and wide open.

Not sure if this will fit on a 600rr but this is on a 636 and I think it looks pretty cool, almost stock looking.
