How often are you at the top end speed range on you bike, and who is keeping up with you, Does it really matter if you lose a few MPH?

RE: Sprocket question?????
What I noticed most on my 05 CBR600RR, other then a lot more power, was a significant loss in fuel efficiency. Before the gear change my fuel gauge would start flashing red at about 130 miles. Now it flashes red at about 100 miles.
Has anyone else notice this same change in fuel mileage?
I am thinking about going back to the original gearing when my wifes starts riding it.
