Scuff marks on bike fairings, need tips please!
Hey guys, today I removed the lower fairings on my 08 Honda CBR600rr Digi. Silver, and although I know nobody pays attention to the bottom of the lower fairing, I am a bit annoyed that there are some scuff marks. Probably from rocks and so forth I'm sure, but I was wondering if there is some kind of touch-up marker, or paint that you guys would recommend? What's the best place to get the stuff for a reasonable price?
Also I've included photos of the black fairings by the knee area. They are showing some light scratch marks, that may be hard to see in the pictures, but you should be able to see where and what I'm talking about. I'm waiting to get some stomp grips soon, but they probably won't cover the area I'm looking at, so I was wondering if there is a way to help "buff" them out?
Thanks in advance guys.

for what you're going to pay on paint and labor, you can go out and get a brand new set...unless you are just going to use a touchup brush to cover the scratches...however, I'll tell you this. Where your scratches are on that mid, it's going to be far more obvious that you put touchup paint on that scratch than just leaving it as is.
You could go out and grab some machine polish and use it, combined with a buffer to try and remove the scratch. Can't really tell from the photos how deep the scratch is, but as long as it's just a clear coat scratch, you could wet sand the scratch out with 1500 grit paper and then use the machine polish to buff it to a shine. That would probably be my first step over touching it up with paint!
here is the machine polish I use at the body shop I work at:

There are scratches in those pics? I guess the only real way to prevent future scratches is to wrap your bike in bubble wrap and keep it locked up inside .
On a serious note, after you touch it up you could go to an auto body shop and see if they can wrap the fairings in 3M clear bra. Probably won't work for the flat black peices, but it will help prevent future scratches and chips from normal riding. It'll cost $$$ though .

Hahaha +1 on the above posts so far, thanks abunch for the information, and I do realize I am probably just over worring about my bike. She's my first 600, (upgraded from the 07' Nin250r) and she's to last me for some time, so *shrugs* I'll learn to live with it...but I'm bookmarking the links and jotting down the information provided by you guys for future reference!
