Sad Day

I didn't mean to get smart..... I've seem to be the only one trying to give a second opinion and make sure he's not only fueled by rage when he talks to the Honda folks. I can't imagine how I would feel if they did that to me, I was pissed when they forgot to put one bolt back in my left side middle fairing... Again, sorry if I seemed like an *** in my reply.

you kind of sounded like an ***. No big deal.
So i talked to the attorney today. He said that I can try and ask them for a new bike but that they will probably not agree to it. He said that I can then ask for a brand new bike where i pay like 30 cent a mile up to 642 miles. He said if they say no to that that I should make sure I get a 3rd party inspection. He then said it would probably be better for me to get a 3rd party inspection first, not tell them what happened, and see what they think happened. Then if they think it has been ridden or anything like that to give him a call back. So looks like I'm kind of screwed. I'm going to go take it to another dealership and have them inspect the whole thing for me make sure there are no other hidden problems and then whatever we find out from that either call the lawyer back again or go to the dealership and make them pay for everything else that needs to be fixed. I'll keep ya posted
Don makes a good point, although I don't know that it ultimately really matters. I don't know what would do more damage, sliding it at 20 mph or dropping it upside down from four feet up. Either way the bike is messed up. They owe you beyond the obvious cost of repair. Definitely have another shop look at it.
I would definately have another shop look at it, since they didnt tell you how it fell, you'll never know if it landed front first and bent the forks, from what I have been told these forks are not the hard to bend. Definately not a good thing to have in a TIGHT corner at any decent speed.
would you like to sell your wrecked tail section. Let me know. If you need to buy it back from the dealer let me know and i will send you the cash. Thanks Nick I need it for a 2005 600 tribal blcak. Thanks Nick
Have any of you ever dropped a bike? That damage is nothing,
I do agree you should hassle them for a new bike though because you don`t know whats been knocked or what internal damage could have been done. Its your peace of mind, you took in a mint bike and now what would happen if you have an iternal engine problem in the future because of this? They wouldn`t do bugger.

Sorry to bump up an old *** thread but looking at those pics mine had a very similar drop, mine has been hit by a truck the same way they claim your bike was hit..my handlebars were locked and it was hit on the kickstand side dumping it on it's right. My right blinker, engine cover/crank case, rear cowl, handlebar weight snapped, etc $880.91 from what i can see i don't know if anything else was effected that isn't cosmetic.
