Default Sad Day

So yesterday I dropped off my 2005 CBR600rr Tribal to the dealership where i bought it so that they could do the 600 mile service. This morning I got a phone call that told me that the bike was finished with the inspection but that they had an accident. They told me that they had dropped my bike and that there was damage. They were very quick to say though that my service was free and that they will be ordering the parts for me and installing them for free. Here is a list of what they ordered.

1 lever, R. Handle $30.57
1 Handlebar $113.67
1 Weight, Handlebar $11.50
1 turn signal, R Fr. $57.30
1 Mirror R. Back $71.010
1 Cover, R. Crankcase $172.40
1 Cowl Set, R. (Type3) ((Right Side Middle Fairing)) $343.56
1 Cowl, RR (Type6) ((Tail Section)) $352.56
1 Cowl Sub, R. (Type2) ((Right Side Lowe Fairing)) $143.33
1 Stripe A, R. (Type1) $18.37
1 Stripe , R. (Type 1) $22.61
1 Stripe B, R. (Type 1) $18.37
1 Stripe C, R. (Type 1) $42.16
1 Mark, R. (Type 4) $8.44

Subtotal $1,405.94
Tax $123.72
Total $1529.66

I went to pick it up to see the damage and they got it pretty good. I am just very happy that I didn't drop it and have to replace all these parts. $1,529 plus labor would be a killer to have to pay. I'm definetly going to look into some good frame sliders. I'll try and post some pics later on of the damage.

ummm.... DAMN. I think I'll be looking into frame sliders as well. I was a little concerned about cutting the hole to install them, after your story, the two inch (or what ever it is) doesn't sound bad now. Please post the pics, I'd love to see the damage. Your story didn't say how they dropped it? Did they tell you, I mean was it just from the side stand or did they have it up on a lift... ?

I don't want to hear that this has been listed in other postings..... What frame sliders do I need to order for my 05 CBR600RR Black/Tribal? Should I also pick up a set of swingarm Sliders as well?

Ill sell you my sliders for 50$ shipped.. they are 100+$ sliders.. all you gotta do is buy another puck.... since 1 puck is f*cked.. each puck is 20$ from parts unlimited... The bases are perfectly fine...

Best sliders on the market for real... my plastics are pretty much alright, since the sliders covered them, and DIDNT SNAP OFF LIKE EVERYONE ELSE'S TENDS TO DO...

Vortex sliders...

Did they DROP it? or did someone LAY it down on the test run? Cause thats what it sounds like... ive dropped my biek a few times, and STUNTING!!!! and never had to replace ANY of that... I would kill, in fact, id get a new one... Say its been wrecked, and that your buddy died on a used bike... cause of damage at high speeds it wobbles lol

They didn't tell me how they dropped it just that they dropped it. I was pretty pissed about it since its gonna take over a week to get the parts then god knows how long for them to install everything. Plus this is my very first bike and makes me wonder how they can be so careless around my baby The damage is bad but its mostly scratches. Just the fact that they dropped it makes them liable to fix everything. Here are some pics of the damage.
