Rim Question For Wider Tire ------->

Hello i have a questions a buddy of mine has a 2004 honda 600RR. He's wondering if a 1000rr rim would fit on his bike without any problems? The rim thats on his 600RR is 5 1/2" wide and the 1000rr is 6". He looking to put a 200 tire on the 600RR. Any advice would appreciate Thanks..

I believe it would, I may be wrong so someone please chime in if so. One thing is a wider tire on the 600rr will effect the handling of the bike in a negative way. Unless he has a stretched bike or something but if its for the twisty he may want to read up on a wider rear. `

it will only help straight line stability. the pro roadracers run a 190 on the stock rim because it gives a larger contact patch at full lean. if he runs a 200 series on the rear it will destroy handling at lean.
