Default Restricted CBR600 RR

New to all of this and joined to try and get some help when it comes to bikes.

I'm 23 (not 24 until next year) and I'm currently in the process of getting my A2 license. Now after my mate decided to tease me by taking me into my local bike shop I once again fell for the Movistar CBR600 RR, on speaking with the boy in the garage he made me aware that I would have to run it at 47 bhp for 2 years or until I was 24, whatever came first. One thing I meant to ask him, with the cbr 600's being such a powerful bike, with it restricted to 47 bhp will I notice a difference in insurance or do they just look at it as a standard CBR 600?

Second thing was, how easy is it to get my hands on the 47 bhp restrictor kits?

Thanks

Stevie

What part of the world are you from? That's crazy! I never heard of a place that puts restrictors on motorcycles. I'm familiar with countries in Europe with restrictions on the CC's. Might as well not let people ride 600cc bikes in the beginning. Insurance will most likely probably be the same since they base it off of the year, model and displacement. Your driving history would most likely effect the cost also. That's my best guess. As far as restrictors kits, I never heard of them.

Not sure about the insurance. I would they they would charge you based on the full 600cc because they can't verify that you have 47 hp compared to full power and also the cost of parts if you wreck it is the same no matter what power you're at but you would have to contact your agent to be 100% sure.

Also I've never seen restrictor kits available for sale but then again we don't need them here in the states. I would ask your local shop if they know of any kits.
