Hey guys, i'm new here. However, i have some riding experience. i've ridden ATV's, and dirtbikes, and things of that nature. But, i'm buying my first REAL bike after i'm done with my last semester of college in May. I was thinking about getting an f4i to start out with, and get comfortable with the sport bike feel. However, i love love love the 600rr. and i was looking at maybe purchasing a 2003-2004 CBR600rr. here's the deal though, i'm almost 6'3'. and i didn't feel comfortable on an R6. i sat on a 2008 CBR600rr the other day, and it was extremely comfortable, even though i'm tall. and i'm assuming the 03-04 model is very similar in the way it's built (height, feel, etc.)

so here's my question. would an f4i fit me okay? would it be as comfortable as a CBR600rr?...i hate being tall.

help me out a little?

+1 to jmarley.the bike will find you. once u sit on it itll feel right. thats what happend to me

 

I'm 6'2" and the f4i was a perfect fit. I had a 2003. I have never sat on a RR so I can't comment on that. Funny that I'm buying one tomorrow without even sitting on one. I have heard that the riding stance is more aggressive, and that the seat is less comfortable. Only from what I have heard.

 

yeah the cbr is less comfortable than some other bikes but it's pretty high up for us tall guys too. i liked it alot. it kinda makes you get up against the tank. but it's not bad . i suppose after riding it for a while it doesn't hurt as bad though. thanks for your input guys i really appreciate it. it'll help in the hunt for the right bike. however, i will end up with a 600rr sooner or later. ahaha
