Default 2003 cbr honda RR 600 general help

Okay, so I just recently bought a 2003 cbr honda and when I turn it on after 9 hours of not riding it, it idles between 1-0. When I rev it up for 7-8 RPM's for a brief second, I let the throttle go and it goes to 0 RPM and dies. The tempature outside is around 70-80 degrees. The tempature on the bike is around 108 F when I first start it as well. However, when I rev it to 7-8 RPM's and keep it there until I get around 160 F on the bike, it stays on and works just fine. Seeing as I don't know much about this type of bike, is that normal for a CBR RR to have to be reved up for a minute to keep it idling without dying? Hope to get some answers, ahaha. If you have any questions, just ask. Thanks!
