Default went down

Hey guys,

I was riding yesterday around rush hour and some lady slammed on her breaks in front of me, so instead of eating her back winshield i took her down to the ground. Left side plastics are scratched up, mirror and the front end is cracked under the headlights. scraped up the swing arm but im fine. just a small cut and bruise above the knee as my leg was caught underneath the bike. i was only goin around 25-30mph. Lady in front didnt even stop to check out if i was ok. The stator cover cracked and its leakin a lil oil. Anyone know where i can get some of these parts? Thanks alot

Use the search function next time.
eBay, bikebandit.com, honda dealer, etc.
but ebay will be your cheapest bet.

OH man, that really blows...at that speed, why didn't you just swerve? You gotta always leave yourself an out in traffic bro, but I'm sure you figured that out by now. I've had a few close calls in rush hour myself, including one a few weeks ago where I had to split the lanes to avoid going into the back of an SUV.

I used to know a pretty good site for OEM parts, but I can't find it right now. Make sure you check on this forum for people parting out their bikes in the Classifieds section, and don't forget about eBay...

No one, bummer.

Way to be friendly.

You should take your bike to a parking lot and practice emergency braking. From 25-30 mph you can stop way faster with your brakes than laying it down. It will slide farther on its side. If you haven't already signed up for a course you should... in the long run the cost of the course is way cheaper than repairs from making mistakes the course will teach you to avoid.

Fantastic advice, along with u-turns and other maneuvers that the MSF course is so good at.
