Front is more like 90% stopping power, if not 95%.
Really, the best thing to do is learn to not use the rear at all. It provides little stopping power and serves to get most in experienced riders in trouble more than help them. I teach riders to not rely on it in any way.

Remember guys; I ride fast and late brake in corners. I do track time as well. The rear brake is pretty much useless when you are hard on the front getting into a corner.
Ride however you want. I really don't care much, but if you ask any track guys, the vast majority will tell you to leave the rear alone.

wanna see a real cool wreck
hit your rear brake while going into a corner hot
you can trail brake your fronts all the way to the apex with no problem but touch your rear and high side city
