Default Question.

I cant find it maybe im an idiot. Sorry. But whats the stock sprocket tooth count. I am hearing alot about -1 front and +2 rear. So i was wondering what number of teeth these are. And when doing this change how do you know how long of a chain to get? Thanks. and sorry for probably beating this issue to death.

Default RE: Question.

My '03 600RR was 16 in the front, 43 in the rear. My -1, +2 conversion brought it to 15 front, 45 rear. Big difference.

Unless you are drastically changing the tooth count you won't need to buy a new chain. The rear wheel will need to be moved forwards or backwards depending. You'll know where to place the rear wheel when the chain slack is correct. Your bike's chain should be slacked at about 1 1/4 inches.
