Default RE: Pull over or Run?

i have already put a reply, but i will refine.

i run if i see no lights or they are going the wrong way.. never ever do i start driving stupid to get away, just go onto different streets. point is that we all speed, i dont care what you say..we drive cbrs.
anyways, if you are lit up. dont run. thank you to freddy for the insight... it does look fun but even ditching the same road to avoid being seen from cops is scary, let alone going 155 on the free way when your traveling a football field every two seconds.

and thank you to that guy who got caught going 164, it was stupid, but you admit it and you pulled over. you need some respect

leave the running to idiots like tbag

Always pull over. If I pass the PD knowing I'm doing something wrong and I see them slam on the brakes and U-turn, I pull over. They don't have to speed/get all worked up to catch me and it usually is a pleasant enough surprise to them that they let me off with a warning. As always, be polite, have your papers in order, and start a conversation with them. I've talked my way out of more tickets than I can count. Some are dicks but you still will get farther with them by stopping and showing respect. Besides, a 150$ ticket isn't worth a life or thousands of dollars in injuries/jail time if you fail to get away.

+1 6hundo, i always talk to the cop. if you pull over when you are caught, give them papers, shut your bike off, and talk to them + appoligize, it normally ends up in a warning. heck i have been pulled over only to turn my bike off and have the cop walk up and say.. just seeing if you would run, have a good night!

Dick=ticket
respect=50/50 ticket. your call

R.E.S.P.E.C.T. haha

hmm if the cop was just "seeing" if you would run, would that be a violation? Hell that could potentially cause serious injury not only to you but to anyone else around you....

Pull over. Pulling over and take your punishment like a man. (because no one held a gun to your head and made you speed.) Running is for squids and douche bags.

its like you're telling a Thief to stop running went he get busted by the owner...while the owner is chasing from behind and yell out out "STOP, STOP"....................Comon Mod...no offense to you but who would want to stop IF you think you can outrun the cops....Now, IF you saw traffic coming, PLEASE STOP...But other than straight away and you have the advantage..I would punch it. Why would you want to stop and take it like a Man????? What do you get out of it???? a piece of CandY?????

For those that don't know I am an officer and I do ride a CBR... There are two things that cut right into a cops soul... lying and running. If you run, try to just take a quick turn off, or just straight punch it... its over. IF you get caught you will be hit with every little thing the cop can find, criminal charges and mv charges. 90% of cops ride too so just do the right thing and pull over and put your happy face on and man up to the issue... you will be shocked at what you can get out of. Cops are just normal people who are paid to enforce the rules, they can be cool too. I personally let people go that can make me actually laugh or that man up and go yea this is why you stopped me... the term "wrote your own ticket" has never been more true. I cant vouch for all cops just the ones i know but most are like me, and most ride, and most have done the stupid thing you were just doing before too... take the chance, stop the bike
