Running might work once or twice, but sooner or later, they will catch you. It just isn't worth taking the chance.

Haha that was awesome! Pull into macy's????? Did he steal the bike or just trying to run? Pretty dumb to leave the bike if it is his, which having gear it must be his. Motorola is one thing but your not outrunning the copter with cameraman in it!

i'm not trying to get busted or anyone in here busted...YOU SHOULD KNOW WHO IS DOING THE SPEED...SINCE THIS IS a PUBLIC FORUM...I"m not going to say who..YOu just need to know yourself............. Anyways, doing 90+ from St.Louis coming back, another GS300 was behind and doing the same speed...Coming up the hill, radar didn't pick up the Cop in time....Right when both cars were almost to the top of the hill...There was a Cop coming from opposite direction on the other side of the HWY...Looked in the Rear view mirror and saw the Cop pulled over to the Median. Luckily there were cars coming up and made the Cop stuck in the median for a bit. First thought in mind, WHY DID HE PULL OVER???? Was he trying to catch...**? ......SH*T, not going to let that happen..Floored the peddle and was doing 140+...luckily there was an Exit. Both cars took the exit and hidden behind the gas station....WOWW...that feeling was WAYYYY scarier than riding that SUPERMAN RIDE from six flags.

anyways, back to the subject of the Thread. I'm sorry to say thisbut your idea is very ignorant. Why would you want to SLOW down and let the cop catch up and keep repeating that for the next 200 miles???? I hope what you were saying was just a JOKE. If it wasn't....First, OUR BIKE WILL NOT be able to travel 200 miles with ONE FULL gas tank. Second, slowing down to let the cop catch up willl reduce the chance of escaping. Third, you need to stop watching COPS..i'm sure you have that idea from the show..guess what, all of those GUYS tried to slow down and let the cop catch up.....ALL GOT CAUGHT.......because thats why cops didn't care to share the videos to the public.

Well..I ran into this situation this past weekend. Headed on 75/85 in Atlanta. I was doing about 120 and saw the blue lights about 100 - 150 yards ahead of me so I know he had clocked me. I had been drinking a little. The question was pull over and go to jail or punch it. I dropped into fourth and punched it. Actually got up to about 155mph. Hedid radio ahead and I saw Georgia Hwy Patrol come flying onto the hwy and he was literally going to cut me off. I blew by him and drove about another 2 - 3 miles till I had a pretty good distance between us and turned my switch off so they couldn't see my lights and bolted downthe next exit ramp. Pulled into a parking garage. For those that have not run before and been chased....it is literally one of the scarriest things that can happen to you (if you are being honest with yourself). It may sound exciting and look exciting in the movies, but literally your life is at stake.

This was actually the second time I have run, but from here on out....I will drive more responsibly and smarter. WhatI did was wrong and the bigger problem is it affects the whole bike community in a negative way...perpetuates the sport biker stereotype. So I apologize to my brothers for this one....

OK....I feel better now.
