problem with lower fairing removal

Default problem with lower fairing removal

all of the bolts come out no problem except for the front bottom bolts connecting the mids to the lowers right behind the front wheel. im turing the bolt and it keeps turning. am i just stupid and theres a trick to it or what? the problem is on both sides in the same place. any help is greatly appreaciated.

The grommet probably popped out. Put your hand behind there and hold the grommet while you turn.

Either that, OR, you have the screws that only do a 1/2 or 1/4 turn and then pull straight out. Try this gently first.

Sometimes the well-nut seizes to the bolt. You may have to hold the back of the nut with a locking pliars.

Hahaha that happened to me once that is def a PIA. Most likely the grommet is missing and you need to hold that with one finger and screw on with the other hand . Just take your time and DO NOT GET FRUSTRATED like I did.

yea im working on it. it looks like the nut is def seized to the bolt. the tools that i found arnt holding the well nut in place. gotta try to find my locking pair. not that easy to grab on to a round piece of hard rubber. this is a def pain in the ***. thanks for the help. glad to know im not that much of an idiot.

I ran into the same issue with my RR. I also found that when reinserting the fairing screws one had to be careful not to push the rubber gromet and nut through its holder and have it drop into the lower fairing. I crazy glued all of the rubber grommets in their holders and haven't had a problem since.
