Default Lower Right fairing

Hey guy's taking my low right fairing off to fix some damage, just curious about the plastic screw like thing, that keeps the left/right fairings together. Is it reuseable? or do i have to snip the head off and throew a new one in? Thanks in advance.

YES it's reusable (although not as many times as you would like, lol) just stick something flat in between the screw and washer looking thing and twist. It will suck the "screw" up and retract the edges of the "washer" and if you do break it they're only like50cents

Yeah, whatever you do, don't buy em from the dealer like I did - $1.75 a-freaking-PIECE! Shoot me ......

yes, they are right. the center round part will pull out (down) about 1/8 inch and allow the entire clip to slide out of the hole. to reinstall, leave the center pulled out and insert it into the hole. once pushed in all the way, push the center back down flush. this will expand the outer sleeve and keep the clip from pulling out.

by the way, where can you get these? other than the dealer

Some of the big auto parts chains like Auto Zone carry them in a variety of sizes, and for a lot less money. Just gotta make sure you buy the right size.
