Problem with Gas Gauge

Default Problem with Gas Gauge

I have an 06 cbr 600rr and my gas gauge is not working right ill fill up and it will read 1/2 full and keeps going up and down i have to judge off of my miles please help.

something might be wrong with the float.

It sounds like either the sensor in the tank that reads the floats status is going bad, or the float itself is sticking. Does it stay at "half full" for a really long time? Or does it start going down at about the same rate as it would, say, if it was showing normal and at the top?

You think something might be stuck in the tank ? the float itself ?
That was a repairable bike, could the float be stuck in high position since the bike's been dropped ?

i dont think its the float because it reads empty the i put gas in and it just doesnt show the very top bar then while im ridin it will go up and down for no reason this problem started about 2 months after i put my bike back together from fliping it
