powder coating

I am powder coating my pegs, bolts, clutch cover and gen cover anyone ever do this before? Any does or dont's?

make sure you don't get sand in the bearing of stuff... and also when you put the clutch cover back on, make sure there's a rubber washer on the top mine didn't and i had a small oil leak and it took me 2 weeks to figure out the problem

Black, what rubber washer are you talking about on the clutch cover over ther top bearing?

Is you bike black? Will the coating hold up on the foot side of the pegs or will it wear through.

Yes it is black 06 the only thing that is not getting powder coated is the swing arm. I am not ready to take that apart yet. I just purchassed a blot kit from pro bolt for $95 where you get all the fairing and peg and cover bolt black alluminum.

i was gonna do the same thing to my 06. my buddy works at a powdercoating shop and was gonna do my levers, rearsets and pegs for like 85? but i dont have enough time cuz i gotta go back to cali next week and dont wanna not have my bike while im up here with my friends

His boot will wear through before powder coat does.

Thanks for the info...I think the entire bike in black is cool. I have an 07 blue/silver and don't think powder coating would look that good on it. I think i am going to add the LEDs to the pegs though.
