Try a Dunlop Qualifier...really good tire. I've got over 3K on my set now and no complaints. I think they're around $100-120 for the rear depending on where you get it.

FOR EVERYONE:
Thanks for commenting and giving me some pretty sound advise. That's what this place is for. I'm thinking of going with the Qualifier for now, and then the next time I have to change it, I'll replace both front and rear tires with whatever is good at the time. Every shop has been saying that the Qualifier is about identical to the OEM Sportmax tires anyway, so I should be good.
ALSO: I went to a shop and they said they offer Road Hazzard Insurance for the tires and wheels of my bike. It's a 5 year warranty that covers the tires AND wheels against screws, blowouts, potholes, nails, etc, etc. BUT It costs $500 bucks, but also doesn't have a limit of how many tires you can go through. But I was thinking.....5 years. When the tires start to wear out, I just run over a nail or glass, and get another one for free........hmmmmm.
The problem is, I really don't have the 500 bucks right now to spend on JUST the warranty, but it seems like it would be worth it.
How many of you out there pick up nails and screws, and how often? I'm amazed I picked up this one. I just don't want to pick up another one in a week. Then I'll get really pissed off.

HOLY FREAKING CRAP!!! The local shops wanted $240 for the tire, then another $75 for mounting and balancing. What a bunch of retards! I can order the tire online, and pay my freaking awesome dealer $30 to mount & balance, and I still wont touch $200.
THANKS FOR FINDING THAT OUT FOR ME BUSHMASTERAR15! - And thanks everyone else for your input. Really appreciate it.

Yeah, I was going to post where I got mine, but looks like you have a handle on it. I got mine from tirexpress.com for a good price. Not sure which dealers you go to, but they're all on some serious crack. The dealers around me are a little higher than online retailers, but not much. I want to say on average like $110 for a front and maybe $140 for a rear. Still high but not too bad. If I just take my rims to them it's like $25-30 install per tire.
