Today i found a screw in my front tire. It was only in about 3/16" (screw was about 1/2" long total). I took the screw out and heard no leaks or any thing, i was wondering how much tread do you think it pentrated and if i should go get a new tire. oh yeah the screw was stuck in the tire about 1" from the side wall?

well i guess its a good thing i purchased some xtra tire protection package when i got my bike so a new tire will be free....i just wasnt sure since there was no leak.
so ill be dropping it off at the dealer on monday morn...

 

Yeah esp. if you have the tire insurance program. Make sure you mark where you took the screw out so you don't look like an idiot trying to find it for the service writer saying "I could have sworn there was a mark here somewhere".

but really if you can get new tires for free, absolutely.

I probably wouldnt even have pulled it, now they dealership will
probably hassle you about it since its not leaking.
(you may want to help it out a little)
