Default overheating?

Okay, so I pulled my bike out the shop today.. everything is running fine, except I just wanted to know about my temp and see how it was doin.. I got out on it, it usually runs around 220 before the fan kicks on.. 220-230 temp when im riding.. it's around 90 out here with bad humdity. well i decided to go a little slower in my neighboorhood to kinda see what the temp gets up to, it got up to 252 and started blinkin at me before i sped up to cool it down. I was only going around 10-15 mph when this happened. I called the guys at the honda shop and they said they call it "Parade mode" and that's normal when im going slow or if im stuck in traffic.. The coolent looks to be above the "upper" text on the bottle.. Any ideas? Is that normal in this kinda weather going that slow? it's an 03 CBR RR 600.. thanks!

yea... are u sure that ur fan was coming on? lol. i bought my bike and the relay for the fan was not working therefore the fan would not come on and my bike would reach the temps that you speak of. 250 is dangerous for your motor you should not run it that high. anyways, instead of paying a boatload for a new relay i just put a toggle switch in for my fan, so i can turn it on at any temp i want. so if i know im coming into traffic or if it hot i can go ahead and turn the fan on before the motor starts heating up.

I only have 850 miles on my 09 but I have not saw it go above 230. and the only time it was up that high I was stopped for about 5 minutes and it was 100 degrees outside. I would defiantly look into that 250 is pretty darn high.
