Go to the dealer and have them remove the Ingition Key Assembly. The key number is printed in it. All they will have to do is make you a new key. Itshouldn't taketo long.

That's what Honda recommends, it's in the owners manual. Pg. 203 for 05 600RR

I'm sure they could help you, they were probably just afraid that you might have stolen the bike. You are pretty shady lookin .
This is the reason I had the salvage title with me, and insurance appraisal. They still said no. I'll look it up in my manual and bring it to their attention... anybody got an online link?

yea i was planning on making it a race bike for next season, so I wouldn't need the seat lock or the gas cap lock (Vortex twist off).... so prob. would go w/ just buying a new ignition

some cbrs dont have the key code stamped on the ignition so the dealership cant help you there. i took my ignition to a local lock smith and he cut me two keys for the thing for $50. Dont take the gas cap as it doesnt use all of the tumblers that the ignition does. (key made from gas cap may work in the ignition whereas a key made from the ignition will work on everything else). There are two allen screws on the backside of the ignition that you can remove and the thing will drop right out. Good luck. And i hope nobody uses this info to do anything shady.

^^ Try reading the thread. ^^ He didn't have a key to begin with.

I'm not even sure why I am bothering...

ANyways, no one in CT will cut me a key. I called a few lock smiths and two seperate dealerships could not help me out.

I bought my bike with only 1 key. I want to have some spares made preferably beforemy only keyturns up missing. I found a locksmith that will make the spares for me. One problem though, he dosent carry motorcycle keys. Where can I get a blank Honda key? I saw some on EBAY, but they're generics and dont have Honda wings on them.
