Keys
I had to have my ignition cylinder replaced since some ******* tried to steal my bike, but the key got destroyed in the cylinder. Now, I have no key to get into my gas tank and seat lock. I lost the ignition number that originally came with my bike.
Do I have no other choice but to bring it to a locksmith and try and get a key made? The place I bought my bike from said they needed the ignition key number (that I lost.)

You could always replace the fuel cap and trunk lock. I think that's what happened to my bike before I got it. Not sure though, but I for some reason have 3 different keys. I havedifferent key for the ignition, the trunk, and the fuel tank.
The key number is on the ignition lock cylinder. You can have a key cut from that, then replace the cap cylinder and trunk cylinder when you replace the ignition cylinder, or have the new ignition cylinder keyed the same as before.
In the process of putting my new ignition cylinder on, the mechanic destroyed the old cylinder like an idiot, completely doing exactly what I asked him not to since I knew I would need a key made from that.
