Ok, so I finished doing minor maintenance on my 08' Honda CBR600rr today. Used Mobil 1 synthetic, Wix Oil Filter, Simple Green chain cleaner, but had absolutely no lube, and no way of getting to the store other than using the bike. She had a gallon of 91, but the nearest store to where I live closed early and it's roughly a good 10 miles away. So I'm wondering... is it safe to ride the bike on a chain that's not lubed? I can probably get a buddy of mine to take me to the store later in the day tomorrow, but I was wondering if it would be ok. How bad would it be? Bike is fairly new, just busted over 3k miles this week. Any information on what the effects of riding on a non lubed chain for any amount of distance would be appreciated!

my neighbor's got a standard chain, and he hasnt lubed it in... years.

 

Like spicymeowmix said you will be fine. Going 10 miles to the store is not going to hurt anything.
