first bike? I still think people should start on older 600's, they are less of a race bike and a lot more forgiving and easy to ride. not that the 600rr is a bad bike or a hard to ride bike at all, just that the older ones are easier to learn on. my thoughts

Don't forget to take the MSF course before you buy the bike. Be safe man and enjoy.

End of the day its your call, most guys start off on an older 6, i had an 02 F4i for 2yrs, before getting my 07 RR. Im sure you'll be fine on whatever you get, but dropping an older one vs newer one is an easy call
Good luck w your purchase, ride safe!

I agree!! If your starting off you may be better off learning on an older bike.. Either way good luck and happy riding!!
