I just chose to replace my Michelin Pilot Powers, they gave me good service for 5500 miles, so I will give them a second chance.

I also looked at the Dunlop Qualifiers, Metzeler M-3 and Pirelli Diablo III. I didn't have any issues, so I stuck with the Michelins, but the above all seem like good options to me.

If you push your bike hard on the edge of the tire alot, perhaps the Qualifiers could be good as people say they are sticky, or the Michelin Power 2 CT which has a softer compound at the edge. They were a bit expensive for me, and I don't ride that hard to justify the softer edges.

Good luck,

I got 6,250 miles on a Michelin Pilot Power rear. The front is still on the bike and is probably good for another 1k miles or so.

I replaced the PP with the PP 2CT. Noticeable difference in handling - I like the 2CT very much. Worth the extra $20 IMO.

supposedly the oem qualifiers that that they are putting on the 07s are pretty decent.
they apparently have the same grip as the standard qualifier but are lighter
