Default New Guy with a question...

I have a lot of play/movement on my 2006 clutch lever. I have the engagement point right in the center of its range of motion(right where I think it should be), but when it is just resting, it wiggles +/- about an inch. I have only 400 miles on it so far, and will be taking it in at 600(for first service), but wanted to know ASAP if this is a problem. ???

Everything else is great, I am glad I chose this bike over all others. I was considering a 1k because I am a 200lbs. guy, but the 600 is more then enough power me. Got the 2006 Black by the way.

Thank you in advance for your input!

its moving cause u have so much play. the lever is usually tight so it grips right at the end. but thats just what im used to. i dont see how it would be a problem other than it being annoying as hell. but im not 100% sure

There's supposed to be movement, that's why it's called 'free-play'. Don't sweat it dude, all bikes are like that. You know you can always adjust your clutch release point if you don't feel comfortable where it's set at.

**When in doubt, check the MANUAL** I just picked up my owner's manual from the stealership today, because they forget to provide me with one at time of purchase. It says that there is a lower adjustment too. I do like where it is engaging now--right in the midle of the range of motion. But I want the looseness to be eliminated. I will try this before I start it up tonight. It rained all day in Orlando today...BOOOOOO!

Thanks for all you help fellas!
