motorcycle stands are a definite must if you plan on doing any of your own work, including menial tasks like oil change etc...

and if you plan on doing trackdays...it's a must...i don't know of anyone who tracks it and doesn't have their own pair of stands...i do know of starbucks riders who say they track "1-2x per month" and work on their own stuff...yet have no stands.

Well, now you know someone that doesn't own a pair of stands, yet attends trackdays as often as possible (try to get there at least once a month, usually twice during the summer months). When you go to the track with a group of serious track junkies, you tend to bum off of and learn from them. (I don't own all the special equipment, I don't own the trailer, I don't own the truck pulling the trailer, and I don't own all the tools, stands, tire warmers, lifts, etc.) When good friends (and next door neighbors) have all the equipment you could ever need, why bother buying your own until you need to? I'm a college student, all my money goes to NMSU.

......oh, and the Mocha Frap with extra chocolate drizzle is actually quite good......you should try it sometime...LOL.

I can't imagine working on bikes without stands... I got my pair for 100 bucks, best investment ever. Since I have multiple bikes, sometimes it gets grueling to keep switching them around when I'm doing work on all of them at the same time. Concrete blocks, car jack, 2x4 and 2x12's are great alternatives provided you have a buddy making sure the bike stays up right.

Make sure you keep your 710 fluid up to par in the engine.
