BINDEL...DO NOT...I REPEAT...DO NOT LOWER YOUR BIKE 3 " FOR THE TRACK!!! Read the many replies about lowering your bike...read about the girl who scraped her belly pan on a large bump, cracking her engine casing open, spilling oil on her rear tire and made her go down hard (which in fact, hunk's expert wrote probably wouldn't happen).
a motorcycle...then move on to more advanced areas...

Does anyone have any information on this, like what kind of material, etc. A writeup if anyone knows of one would be awesome! I know of shaving the seat to take off a few inches, but I've never heard of anyone replacing all the material, but I'm definately very interested.
Thanks

I will add one more thing. Another method I use to lower seat height is that I take the seat remove the factory cushion and replace it with a thinner material. It is half the size almost, but feels even better then the stock cushion. It is not cheap but it is under 250.00 to do.

RE: lowering 1 inch?
It is so hilarious to see this kind of ignorant talk about making their bikes better by lowering them from folks who don't really know ANYTHING about engineering suspensions. I run across the same BS in my Corvette racing world. Gotta throw a jillion dollars worth of after market parts at something that GM or HONDA spent BIG BUCKS perfecting. Go figure!!???
What I do is just outperform them on the track. Kinda shuts up their ignorant mouths for awhile at least.
If I've heard it once, I've heard it a dozen times from some of the top tuners that an uninformed owner can screw up the handling & suspension dynamics engineered by HONDA / GM at a huge cost in a heartbeat.
My bottom line? If a short dude cannot safely handle an RR from his tip toes, then he shouldn't be riding an RR. I've never met a truly good rider who needed to lower it just to handle the stopped moments safely. I.E. If you're not good enough to safely handle a stopped RR from your tip toes cause yo mama made you short...then you're definitely not qualified as good enough to give any advice on how well a lowered bike performs or doesn't.

Your an ignorant basturd. I had a guy like you in a z06 that wanted to race my 2004 mustang Cobra,(almost stock ) and I beat his *** up. That shut him up, especially when there were 4 hot drunk ladies watching us race. Hey it was a Friday night. Your all talk and no go. So your saying because I'm short and can't handle a bike on my tippie toes, I'm not good enough to give advice about how well a bike performs when lowered? You don't possess any logic now do you? Yup you are a cocky corvette owner. The mouth runs faster than your car at times. I hate stupid people you know. Anyways I hate to say it, but Fret gave better responses than you. One is dumb, but your definitely dumber. Congrats.

i still don't understand you cbr600rrhunk, i mean, you only dig up threads that have to do with lowering then stir up the biggest conterversy you can. I mean holy ****, if i met you in real life i'd have a word to speak with you and how you choose to communicate with the outside world (i.e. in a bad way), jus drop the argument, put your dicks back in your pants and put the ruler back in the drawer. Lowering a bike DEFINATELY had drawbacks, sometimes the owner has to weigh those with the outcomes and see what comes out first, but you know what, stop running around here naming names becuase they choose to have a different opinion with you. Take the higher road at least once in your life kk?
