toolbox is in the same place under the right fairing. i just bought an 04. take a look

 

the key is on some island, the map is burried 6ft under your dealers showroom... (jk)
didn't you get two keys with it? try the other one
you just need to unscrew the bolt and pull off the plastic pin near the tank (simply press the middle of the pin down then pull it up), i keep only the X screw under my seat for that.

I put my registration and my insurance card in my jacket...so it dont burn up.they make a nice lil zipper pocket for all kinds shizzle like that..
