What is the best air filter to get for my 600RR?
dont thread jack go search please. lol

hahah 3+hp. man some guys tried to argue that it makes your fluid run smoother or something. its for spills and looks, pretty much pointless on the street unless you just dont like the look of your resevior. and as far as keeping it cooler, its a sweet band... wouldnt it make the contents hotter??? anyways, it doesnt really do anything except for customizzzzzzzzzle

....the only way it would make it hotter was if the heat from the brakes worked it way up the lines and started to heat up the fluid in the resevior...and maybe if the res was clear enough it "could" havea green house effect on the fluid inside when in the sun and the band kept the direct sunlight off it....but I mean come on....that is getting a little out of control....lol

Keeps the sun off of it, so it doesn't break down the fluid. I learned a lot in 6 months

Well I got a question too..... Why on my 06 is mine a black square box instead of being clear and a circle. Does that make sense?
It only makes sense if you're very familiar with both bikes.
On the 05-06 the brake fluid reservoir was metal, and integrated into the master cilinder (like the 1000RR) on the 07+ model it became a plastic "**** cup" remote reservoir. the new 2008 1000RR adopted the "**** cup as well, so there is either a cost, or a weight savings that they were looking for.

As said before, the "headband" will absorve any spillage/leakage that might occur from the reservoir, but it will also help keep the fluid reservoir cap clean, to avoid contamining the brake fluid if a "top off" is needed.
