Okay. Thanks crashkhanman. I'm a little intimidated to install the sliders myself. Hopefully, I can order them and have the dealership install.
No problem! .. and if you don't want to pay for the dealership to do it and happen to have a dremel laying around, that will beyour friend when it comes to making the fairing cuts look nice!

o i see how the woodcraft works. i thought they only sold the entire cover with the slider on it that i saw on their site. i dint relize they have a peice that goes over stock ones.
Yeah, sorry about that. That wasnt a good picture to describe how it fit or worked. Here is a picture of it on an '07

And this is a picture if you were to fall over without sliders/or the above part, what kinda damage you can expect.

If my bike was "pushed over," I'd make sure someone's nose was "pushed over." [sm=smiley18.gif]
So I wasn't the only one who thought this first when I read this post?

I'm pretty sure if I saw anyone tip my bike over on purpose, I would make sure they had cosmetic dmg too.

The woodcraft cover MIGHT scrape but thats still better then rashing up your bike. Thats what its there for. Here's a picture of my bike after it was pushed over by some drunk fool. No damage to the casings, levers, peg, swingarmor bar-ends. (Just the turn signals, mirror, and a scrape on my rear plastic)

It was sad that I had to replace my rear section with only 3,2xx miles.
WHAT?!?!? Some DRUNK pushed over your sweet '07 RR? I hope you kicked his ***...made him pay for it, or something!! Did you know the guy?

If that was me, I know I'd lose it and drag the dudes face across pavement until the cops showed up and put me in jail.

How much are those woodcraft protectors? I may pick one up and put it on my '04 when i get my crank case cover pc'ed black.
