It's completely secure? I'd hate to be going 70+mph and have a helmet mess up someone's day behind me.

So far this is the best idea I've seen. Thanks alot. The pictures help so much. Cheers.
Never seen any rubbing from it on the paint, and I have carried a helmet like that quite often.

I have NEVER seen any helmet secured like this fall off. I've got a bunch of buddies that have all carried a spare helmet the same way and none of them have ever had one fall either.

But experience is the best remedy, strap your lid on there and try pulling it off. just don't pull the bike over...LOL

Default helmet d ring hookup under seat

http://img823.imageshack.us/img823/253/helmetv.jpg <--Check out link, photo taken at night sorry.

Helmet is hooked up UNDER the passenger seat.
D ring secured on the FRONT RIGHT hook underneath the passenger seat and then the passenger seat slid back and locked into place. VERY SECURE.

Actually I can't stand tyrebiters,Curb squirells or whatever else you wanna call them, but I have 2 boys from a previous marriage that my wife and I go pick up every other weekend at their moms house and we love to take the bikes. We needed a safe way to transport the kids's helmets with us and after asking around, this was the best way I could find.

I just wanted to know a safe way to transport a spare helmet without using a backpack. And for the occasional passenger. It's nice to have a passenger on the back, but it's even better if you can give them a lid.
