Found a better way to secure my tailbag
I have a Cortech sport tailbag that i use on my F4.. when I had my Ninja I would latch a hook on each passenger rearset and 2 on teh rear grab handle...
The F4 doesnt have the grab handle, so for about 4 months I would latch the two rear bungee hooks on the lower (unused) holes of the rear plate. My bike has a competition werkes fender eliminator kit with the stock rear signal lights, so there really isnt much of anywhere else to latch them. If I had a stock rear fender, I would be fine I guess. (but who wants that!)
One day I went out and I found that the movement and pulling of the bungees over time had loosened up the rear mounting bolts that go to the subframe.. no biggie.. took it all apart and put better hardware with lock washers and lock nuts.. but I didnt want that to happen again....
I started to think of a better mounting system for the rear... While at Walmart I found a set of picture hanging hardware for like $2 or $3. They are marked as "Wide Ring Hangers". I figured they would work better if they were permanently at a slight angle, like around 135^. I had some "Quicksteel" in the garage.. a two part clay like epoxy that hardens into something like rock hard steel... I worked that into the hinge area and around the outside and enlarged the mounting hole to 1/4in. I let it sit for a day to cure.
Today I went out there and used two existing bolts that mount the license plate bracket to the fender eliminator (there are 4 altogether). I put them slightly at an angle in..
The hooks are not really visible at all from the side.. you can see them if you look underneath, but they do blend in well.
Now I have a solid and secure mounting point for the rear bungees to go. I know this isn't super technical or 'racey'... but the tailbag is a godsend for commuting to work... and I have never been one for tankbags.. I have pics I will upload later on..

Just in case someone searches for this in the future... I hope it helps them.

Here is the package and an unmodified picture wall hanger:

Approximate angle that I wanted (obviously not yet epoxied):
