When is a rebuild considered normal? If you take care of that motor, and the guy you bought it from took care of it, then it'll go for 100k+, there is a member on here (thirdgen)that has 120,000+ miles on his F4i and he says it still runs fine.

The 25k in milage is a bargaining chip for you to get him to lower his price, and that's all. I wouldn't worry about it too much. Wave $4500 in his face and see if he takes it...if he says no, then tell him you'll look for a lower milage bike for the same price and yo'll probably get it.

Where are you geographically located?

Yep you could get that for 4500 prolly considering the time of year, but all in all 5k isn't a bad price.

It's closer to 139,000 miles now.

25,000 Miles is just getting broken in, if it was well maintained.

Haste makes waste just luck up on a deal i mean a steal like i did. i just got a 2007 honda cbr 600rr red and black for $6,700 4,500 miles. Modded the hell out of it everything you can name over 2,500 of mods into it bike cover helmet and a 4 YEAR WARRANTY...hahahaha. check craigslist and ebay. i don't think the winter is too much of a factor for pricing in his area. socal is probably alot like miami. winter is prime time for riding.
