Default horsepower gain with a slip-on

i was wondering how many hp's i would gain if were to install a slip-on? or are slip-ons just for sound? also, will i lose hp's if i install without a power commander?

Many companies will tell you some crazy HP number and even have a wacko dyno chart that proves it on their web sites; however, most people who have put their bike on a dyno after a slip-on revealed gains from 1-3 hp.

So in essence the answer to your question is just for sound...

The only gains will be sound and a few pounds of weight loss with a new can.
