Help w/ new pipe...
Hey ya'll!
I'ms bout ta pick up a Jardine RT-one race baffle pipe and need sum help. I've heard a couple folks say that I need ta get a "power comander" or I can take it in and get it "jetted"/ajusted. All I know is basically the fuel mixture has ta be changed for it to run correct when you put a after market pipe on. So... what's all this about a power commander and gettin it jetted all about? Any other things I should/need ta do ta make it work properly/better?
Btw... the folks at APEX (one of the sponsers for dis site) are BAD ***! They totally hooked me up, where nice, knowledgable, and quick. If you ever need sumthin give em a call!

RE: Help w/ new pipe...
i also just bought a jardine rt slip-on. havent put it on yet but i asked the dealer when i bought it if i needed to do anything with the set up of the bike and he told me i dint need to. he said if i were putting a full exhaust system on he would definately recommend a power commander but since it is just the slip-on he said the little bit of horsies that it will add on the bike is not even worth it. just what i have been told. i could be wrong. hope this helps

RE: Help w/ new pipe...
Like I was saying on the phone when you bought the pipe, the power commander will just help your bike run at its full potential. Does it mean that your bike wont run without the power commander?? NO!! It will just run better...I hope that clears it up. I say just install the pipe and ride the bike, you be the judge if it needs to be "re-mapped"
