You want to tint your headlight? As in smoke it out? It would look cool during the day, but night time visibility would suck *****.

But then again, I have a "thing" about headlamps. I've extremely picky about their aim, spread, color and brightness. I will tinker for hours and purchase multiple HID kits just to make sure I get all of the above correct or it drives me nuts.

They make actual tinted headlamp film..........you can pick up the transparent smoke vinyl at almost any vinyl graphics shop. I did my clear brake light in a red transparent vinyl because it was starting to yellow slightly. (and since the bike is red/black, looks pretty good too).

And yes, I have an HID kit. As long as you get an H7 HID kit, you'll be fine. The larger ballast kits are difficult to mount properly, but with some cutting shears and a little modification, they fit just fine. A lot of people go with the mini-ballast kits, but they don't have as much light output as the larger ballast kits. And if you do go with HID, get either the 4300k or 5000k temperature kit. Anything higher, and it'll just be a blue color versus a pure white.

watch the video in the middle of the page and towards the end you'll see how well the light goes through the tint. Its a safe thing to do, dont worry
