Default Tint???

i was wondering what the best plan was: A) get my current windscreen tinted (if its even possible) or B) just buy a new smoked windscreen...

The screens on the F3 have compound curves, which would make tinting with window film virtually impossible. I think your best bet would be a replacement. I'm using a ZeroGravity DoubleBubble on mine as well as my wifes. It has a slightly higher profile for a little better wind blockage and it's easier to get into a tuck position behind it. Hope this helps.

I think they make a spray-on tint, too, but I don't know as I'd risk the result. (and it's likely more $$ than a new smoke screen)
I'd just get a new one like idodirt suggested. They're cheap and plentiful for the F3. I wish I could get a decent priced one for the 1000F like you all can for the F3.

ya on ebay you can find the blacked out and the clear ones all over for the f3. I read somewhere that Plexiglas was almost impossible to tint, now idk cause I've never tried. I personally think the double bubble shield looks ugly, so look up a few pics for it before you decide. I got one and put it on and absolutely hated it.

If you have decent paint skills with spray can paint.paint it yourself. They make a paint called "nightshades" by dupli-color(they have it at autozone).i've use it before to tint other people tail lights.Works pretty good just have to spray so many coats before it tints. Here is my old one i painted. I use dupli-color blue("fantip") on mines. Came out great.second time i use gloss black and floresent green.

i would just order one, its less of a headache. paints great but eventually the paint will chip, and i dont think youll be able to tint it due to its shape.

if the quality of the screen isnt a priority (such as zero grav or puig) id get a hong kong one for 20-40 bucks.

i've got one right now i dont even use anymore.
