Use the search, plenty of people have done write-ups on this. Everything you need to know is already there.

^^ Slim ballasts don't put out as much light as the larger ballast kits, not to mention they warm up quite a bit slower as well. FYI. That's why I went through the whole process spending hours trying to find a place to hide the large ballasts on my 07.

Any kit on eBay is going to be an okay kit to go with. They're all made in the same place with different stickers slapped on them. I bought a $170 VisonPro kit and it was cheaper in build-quality and light output than the $80 Japanese eBay knock-off's.

Well, I'm getting them installed in my GTI today, so I'll let you know how it turns out. My friend got them first and put them in his GTI, and they have very good light output and he's had no problems with them.

I got these from some guy in GA, they come very "professionally" wrapped and boxed. I have talked directly with the guy and they seem fine, from what I have seen so far. Just a cheaper way of getting the same effect...

But Blue Fox is the HID guru here, so def listen to him if you want top-notch lighting. I went with the slims because the ones I bought for my bike I wanted smaller ballasts so that they would be easier to hide them, and I ordered two.

I have a 6000k slim kit installed on my 08 an i love them. I no longer switch out my dark visor at night and can still see better than with the clear visor and old head lights. They are amazing,, found them on ebay, i believe i paid about 70$ shipped. the install is easy and painless.i've posted pics' in other threads.

I got one of these kits installed in my GTI now and the difference is unbelievable... what a difference... def worth the $80 for the upgrade.

Easy to install... great light output... can't wait to install into my bike now as well!!
