Default Getting Closer

Ok, I have made the decision to purchasea bike and it's definitely going to be an RR. I haven't really decided on the model year. Can anyone give mesome input on what the major differences are from 2003 to 2006? I'm just trying to determine if the improvements are big enough that it would warrant me shelling out more money for a more recent model.

Good choice, as far as changes go they are listed as:

In 2005, the CBR600RR received a major revision with new body work, fully adjustable inverted front forks, a set of track-inspired disc brakes with radial-mounted four-piston calipers, and an entirely new aluminum frame, swingarm and rear shock. These changes along with additional refinements to the engine and exhaust system all came together to bring CBR600RR's weight down nine pounds. MSRP for the 2005 model was $8,799. Except for new color schemes, the 2006 model was unchanged from the 2005 model and had a MSRP of $8,999.

Also, less miles = less things that could be wrong as is with anything with moving parts. Take your time and find the one thats right for you. You dont want to play the should have could have game.

Thanks for the info, I really appreciate it. I have seen many '04s and '05s for sale. The difference in price is only about $600 or so, pretty negligable if you ask me, especially when you consider the many improvements. Thank you for helping me make my decision. It shouldn't be too long now. I figure I'll buy right before winter, it will save me some more money. I'll post pics. Thanks again.

An '05 RR is listed in my area with 1700 miles on it. It's got my color scheme (black and gray) but she is asking 7200. Eesh
