Default Front fairing loose??

Hey everyone!

So I just purchased an 08 600rr the other day, cleaned her up to the best of my ability for the time being and I noticed a small problem, the black piece of plastic that wraps around from the front to behind the windscreen is a little loose, just a tad, but it's annoying me with my minor OCD complex.. Was wondering if anyone knew how to fix this, here's the pictures (I'll try and caption the problems in the pics):

This piece seems to be a tad loose too, the other side is tight

I'm not sure if there is supposed to be a screw in that little empty hole spot, or it just floats there, I'm not sure, and there's about a 3mm gap that's truly annoying, anyone have any ideas what it could be? Thank you so much everyone in advance!!

Tom

there should be a screw for sure. look to see if there are any tabs on the plastic that should pop in behind the other plastic to hold it down aswell.

take the screw out and pull the piece off. there should be some tabs on the black piece that fit in some slots.... if those are missing, you can purchase a new piece of plastic for about 5 bucks

Looks like you're missing a trim clip. I would check all the plastics for missing trim clips, pan screws, and worn/missing wellnuts. these are commonly broken/worn components that are pricey, but easily replaced. If you don't have a Honda Service Manual, I suggest getting one, or downloading one off this forum.

Turned out I was missing the screws. I went to the dealership to look at their 08's and some didn't have them either.. Interesting..? Anyway, it's all tight now.
