Friend's 06 won't fire

Friend's 06 won't fire
An instructor friend of mine's bike won't fire up. He has an 06, and he said it's been sitting for about 2 months. This is his blurb:
2006 Honda CBR 600RR. The only thing that I tried to do is change the
Gas. It has probably been sitting for two months. The starter is
working. The fuel pump comes on. It just wont fire up.
I told him about the gas exchange because I know that gas will decompose after a little while. But I'm at a loss of what could be his problem. Any suggestions would be a great help. Thanks.

check the fuses, i know on a car that would be the first thing i do. if fuses are good look into the plugs and coils, pull out a plug, put it into the plug wire sit it on the motor(so it is grounded) then try to start the bike. if it doesnt have spark then you know where you prob is coming from.fuel can go bad but most of the time it just wont run right, not, not start.
