need them? you dont NEED any sliders..

in my recent lowside my rear axle slider took some damage..

the $50 was worth not dinging or scratching my swingarm thats for sure..

I might as well put some on. I got some spools left on by the mechanic but I dont think they would holdup in a lowside. but they dont affectt he look in anyway. do some people avoid axle sliders because of the look?

i have no idea, but i know R&G was the first comapny i saw that made them for the '07-'08 without looking around very long.

the spools wont hold up in a crash because they are not meant to.
they are meant to be used with a stand to hold the bike, THATS IT
swingarm spools are meant to be dragged across the pavement and abused and can take it, and wont break off because they are connected though a steel rod inserted through the rear axle.

i personally love the look of all my R&G stuff (every slider they make for the '07-'08)

they are black plastic with white lettering around the front side. it blacks out the axle bolts..

I've seen bikes that have been knocked over, and the rear axel sliders seem to take some damage, but the front ones seemed untouched.

Check the link below, the guy had his knocked over and you can see the damage. He has the Motivation ones.
