Default E85 FSAE car

Hello all, I am a student from the University of South Florida FSAE team and this year our car will be running E-85. We run a 2013 CBR 600RR and I was wondering if we would be able to run the stock injectors. The car will only be making about 80 horsepower as it is air restricted so the flow of the stock injector will be plenty; I was wondering if the internals of the fuel injector itself would be able to handle the different properties of the fuel. I have seen mixed opinions online and I wanted to see if there was a more technical reason why you can or can’t run it. The goal was to buy E85 injectors, but we could not find any E85-compatible ones that had flow low enough for our power goals.

Ah... FSAE... brings back memories...
What you will find through this journey (and also life in general).
Is that there are no black & white, all-or-nothing, yes/no answers.
Everything is shades of grey....

Here's some homework for you eh?

1. what is part# of factory 2013 cbr600rr injectors?
2. who actually makes these injectors? and are there any interchange part#?
3. what is max flow-rate of these injectors?
4. what is matching flow-rate @ 80bhp?
5. what is difference in lambda between petrol and E85?
6. how much more or less E85 will you have to spray at max-power compared to petrol?
7. how will you implement this change of flow-rate in ECU?
8. what is max flow-rate of fuel-pump?
9. what is maximum duty-cycle you want to run injectors & pump?

Each one can be determined empirically or using easily found technical documentation.
Good luck!
