RE: coolant
Id consider changing/flushing your brake fluid before you do your coolant.
I just went and bought some Honda premixed coolant for 5.50 a bottle. I bought 3 bottles should be enough. There is a DIY somewhere on here on how to do it. But pretty much you loosen the lower bolt on the water pump and let it all drain with the radiator cap off. Tighten the bolt hand tight so it doesnt leak fill it up with DISTILLED water only, let it run to operating temp again with the cap closed of course. Then drain it and refill with honda or equivalent coolant. I'm sure on a 2004 you probably wont need to run it with distilled water but it just helps get everything out of the block as well.

RE: coolant
Take off the right fairing.Check all the bolts(under the bike too).and then you will be able to get to the coolant box.after that it should be simple.there is one more bolt on the coolant tank, which makes it easy to fill it up with coolant.
