There are still 4wheelers made today that have a N-1-2-3-4-5 shift pattern. I also had a 1992 Honda CT 70 that was N-1-2-3. As chainstretcher said though, if the air/electric shifter is set up correctly it will pass right through N into 2nd. There are planty of race cars (mini sprints, miget, etc) that shift normally with no shifying mods.
