Hi everyone,

The cable that opens up the trunk of my CBR600RR is stuck for some reason and I can't open the trunk (the passenger seat won't come off), so I bought a new one and would like to change it, but I don't know what to start with. Can anyone tell me how to change that cable?

Well first you need to get the seat off. But really after that its pretty straight forward.

 

Thanks! Actually I couldn't do anything after I took the seat off. The passenger seat wouldn't come off because the lock and the cable were both stuck.
So I cut the cable and pulled it to open the passenger seat. So I had to change the lock and the cable. For those who are wondering, changing the lock is a pain in the butt but the part cost about $20 and the cable $8 on ebay... for those it might help.....
