Default CBR 600RR on eBay

Here's another "too good to be true" eBay CBR. It's in NY and I know a few of you are close. See if you can check it out. Less than 700 miles for a buy it now of $2900.00.

From the pic, that bike is not in Astoria. there are no properties with front yards of that size and a country road anywhere near the Astoria. must be a scam

Guy in my command fell for that earlier in the year. bid 3000 on a silver/black 05 rr. soon as his bid posted got an email from the guy sayin to mail the money to such and such account. and he'd have the bike shipped back to the states from japan, where he was sopposedly stationed.

Funny story, my bike was for sale on Ebay once and I wasn't even selling it. Someone took my pictures from BikePics.com and fraudulently put my bike up for sale in an Ebay auction.

Here's the link of how it was discovered and dealt with (funny read):

I read every post... that is some funny ****. I knew eBay scams were bad, but not that bad. Are there any real bikes for sell out there.

true, this is a scam on ebay....two things to look for: 1) it a restricted bidder auction; 2) its has a low buy-it-now price (usually between $2900 and $3500). but it is not a scam for your money. you will never be contacted by the person trying to sell the bike....it is just a ploy to get your email address in order to sell it to solicitors. think about how many people ask questions about the bike as well as bid on the bike. confirmed email addresses are a hot commodity...don't acknowledge any auctions that are only for "restricted bidders" with a low buy-it -now price!!

It's too bad there are so many scams out there on eBay. I think one of the worst ones is that one where the guy superimposed an image over the Seller Info section in the upper right corner.

I'm thinking about selling my 2005 CBR600RR Tribal. I bought a Repsol and can't seem to justify TWO bikes. So if you see mine on eBay, it's for real!
