CALI Registration HELP!
Hello,
I am new to this forum and pretty new to the street motorcycle world, although I have been riding dirt bikes for some years now...
I recently bought a Black 2004 Honda CBR 600RR, which I am in love with...
Some background: I bought it from a guy who lived in NV and moved to CA and had to sell it because he had a kid on the way...
I went to the DMV today and I was told I couldn't register it because it had less than 7500 miles on it. I currently have 5000 miles on it.
CAN ANYONE HELP ME? ANY SUGGESTIONS?
my friend suggested switching out the gauge cluster with someone else that had a CBR 600RR with more than 7500 miles and then switching back... Is that possible?
Any help is greatly appreciated. Please help.

RE: CALI Registration HELP!
Yeah, I think I've heard of that. It's probably cuz your bike doesn't meet the Cali emissions standards (needs an O2 sensor by the midpipe I believe to qualify). Do they even check your gauges for mileage? If not, just fill in the paperwork again with the higher mileage. If they do, you can try the swap.
